About Me Describe Yourself: I grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA, In Beaver County. I"ve lived in California since 1986, however. I love all music and I love all the diverse offerings Public Broadcasting offers. It makes me mad as hell to watch tv usually, and I can't rember the last 'blockbuster' movie that I could tolerate. On Gather, I'm Looking For ...: Friends Interests Favorite Music, Artists, Genres: All kinds, everything and anything it all depends on the mood I'm in at the moment. I love a good singer/songwriter. Some favorites: Tom Waits (#1!), Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, Old 97's, Andre Bocelli, Drive By Truckers, Necko Case, Lou Reed, David Allen Coe, Etta James, Miles Davis..... I could go on and on. Music is my soul. Favorite Books, Writers, Genres: Another endless category.... A Prayer for Owen Meaney was a good one, I'm a big John Irving fan. Don Quixote a great book., too many... Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres: Not really my thing. Favorite TV Shows, Actors: Except for pbs shows and some other documentary shows and the occasional hard to find sit com that is actually funny without resorting to juvenile humor, I don't watch tv., I do like the show Reba. Can't say enough good things about that show. Interests and Activities: The great outdoors although I've lost the connection at the moment.
